I couldn't resist putting up a shot of the creepy spiders that are all over my house and garden. It's a spooky graveyard scene on a night with a blazing full moon. I would not want to be stuck there at night!
This wall hanging was a lot more work than I had originally anticipated. Here's a look at my planning sheet:
Yikes! So many tiny pieces! Here's a close up of one of the spots with those little pieces (1" HSTs!):
I will confess it was murder trying to get all of my points to turn out, and I wasn't completely successful. But, that's just fine since this little quilt is staying with me! Here are a couple other "in progress" pictures that I took for you guys.

ReplyDeleteHow very fun! I had a lovely time drafting my pattern for the hop, too, but have to wait until the 28th to share! I started my life in the PNW in Portland, also, but now we've been in Oregon City for nearly 20 years. (P.S. Remember, if anyone asks, it rains ALL THE TIME here...we don't want to encourage more transplants! lol)

I had a close encounter with a spider yesterday....it abseiled on me (while I was in my bed)......IEIEIEIEIEIEIEK! So thank you for posting that picture......trauma relived here!

ReplyDeleteIs that Portland, OR? My ex-husband of only 7 months was found dead at the end of July. We had his memorial service yesterday. His family of origin and his children are in Portland, OR. I thought I was going to have to go to court to even try to claim the body. They have done nothing. They are extremely dysfunctional. So, personally I hope you don't run into his sister who quilts. She might be quite lovely to you, though. They seem to blame me for something. I have some great support and it's still an emotional roller coaster. He always loved to see me quilt and I hope to do more of that again. I saw you butterfly baby quilt and it is amazing and I can hardly wait to see you double Irish chain. You do beautiful work. I love to see all the eye candy from the hops. I hope to see you in more hops soon. Thanks for participating and being a great inspiration.
